In HoT, the Tier 3 and Tier 4 zones are locked. You have to do Progression in order to flag your toon for the zone.


The Expansion starts in Feerrott, the Dream. You have a choice of 3 zones to do, with The Well being able to be done at any point you choose to before Tier 3 Access. Feerrott, the Dream and House of Thule, Lower Floors are required for the final 3 zones before unlocking Tier 3.

and then the group Mission Fall of the Tae Ew. You may also request the Raid: Ritual of Terror.


House of Thule, Lower Floors, You can do the following in any order you wish:

The Beast of Horror
The Beast of Rage
The Beast of Rot
The Beast of the Unknown

and then the group Mission Welcome to My Nightmare. You may also request the Raid: Tick Tock.


The Well:

Down the Hole
All Alone
At Peace I Will Be

and then the group Mission No Freedom in Death. After also beating the Tier 1 Raids, you may also request the Raid: Terror in the Dark.

With Feerrott and House of Thule, Lower Floors both done, you can progress to the final 3 zones, these final 3 zones can be done in any order you choose to do so.


Erudin Burning:

Heretics Among Us
The Fallen Citadel
Erudin's Apocalypse
The Destroyer's Den
Raiders of the Sacred Tomes

and then the group Mission The Illuminating Truth. After also beating the Tier 1 Raids, you may also request the Raid: The Torches of Truth.


The Grounds:

It Only Gets Worse


and then the group Mission The Gardener. After also beating the Tier 1 Raids, you may also request the Raid: The Roots of Evil.


The Library:

Interview with a Scholar
History of the World, Part 2
Book of Secrets


and then the group Mission The Stuff of Dreams. After also beating the Tier 1 Raids, you may also request the Raid: The Librarian's Nightmare.


Upon completing all of 6 of these zones, you will gain Access to the Tier 3 zones, starting with House of Thule, Upper Floors

Like before, you have a choice of 3 zones to do, all 3 are required to complete the 4th zone, with all 4 zone completions flagging you for the Tier 4 zones.

Al'Kabor's Nightmare, You can do the following in any order you wish:

The Rivervale Ruins
Wastelands of Everfrost

and then the group Mission Catastrophic Power. After also beating the Tier 2 Raids and looting and using a Rusty Gate Key, you may also request the Raid: At World's End.


Miragul's Nightmare, You can do the following in any order you wish:

The Sword of Shadows
Beauty Lost
Please Release Me
Such a Prankster
Prisoner of the Portal

and then the group Mission Miragul's Vendetta. After also beating the Tier 2 Raids and looting and using a Rusty Gate Key, you may also request the Raid: The Force of Eternity.

With these 3 done you can now do the final Tier 3 zone.


Fear Itself:

Bite of the Beast
Follower of Fear
At the Altar of Fear

and then the group Mission An Offering to Thule. After also beating the Tier 3 Raids and looting and using a Tremulous Key, you may also request the Raid: Cazic's Final Stand.


With all 4 zones complete you now have access to the Tier 4 zones Morell's Castle and Sanctum Somnium.
