The grounds of the House of Thule are, at first glance, something like a garden. The hedgerows are trimmed, the paths are laid out, and there is even an orchard. The impression lasts about as long as it takes to notice that the topiary subjects are wrong, that the things moving through the orchard are not tending it, and that the bixie fort in the northern section has not been abandoned so much as fortified. Terris Thule has left her mark on this place, and her creatures have made themselves at home among the flowerbeds.
The Grounds is one of the largest zones in the expansion, an open outdoor space that sprawls considerably further than the exterior of any building has a right to. It holds a diverse population: treants, bone golems, rotdogs, snakes, wasps, living heaps of garden debris, and peponnites that have grown well past anything a normal pumpkin patch would produce. The zone also connects to The Well, accessible through a passage in the lower section of the grounds.
Three group missions launch from The Grounds, and the zone hosts both the Rank III spell fragment turn-ins and a raid expedition. Completing the group missions here, alongside those from the other Tier 2 zones, fulfills the progression requirement for Tier 3 access.
